Custom M&Ms and Patron Margaritas just enhanced the joy we experienced celebrating at the Bar Mitzvah luncheon of Jacob Magnin. The service was held just earlier, in the Magnin Sanctuary at Wilshire Blvd. Temple (of course)...that exquisite example of just how art and worship blend together perfectly (no photos allowed there.) The party site was Kay & Dave's on Pico; a non-formal Mexican restaurant serving up delicious delights with attentive service.
My sister and I were able to get one of the outdoor tables in the shade, where a cool breeze belied the intense heat of the street. Paradise. Waiters immediately brought out appetizers which mysteriously disappeared before I could snap the presentation for you (we were really hungry!)
The girls participated in the "Mummy" game...we were not surprised to find that they had beat the competition handily!
